Planning to perform Umrah from Pakistan? Saudi Arabia has introduced important updates to its Umrah visa system in 2026, including changes to visa options and a new one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa.
For Pakistani pilgrims, understanding the latest visa fee, insurance requirement and new visa conditions can help you plan your Umrah journey with greater confidence.
What Is the Current Umrah Visa Fee?
According to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs' official Umrah Visa service, the listed government service cost is SAR 300. However, this should not be considered the complete amount a Pakistani pilgrim will necessarily pay, because the Umrah visa process also requires medical insurance and may involve processing or service charges depending on the application route.
The final amount paid in Pakistan can therefore vary depending on the travel agent, service provider, exchange rate, insurance and other applicable charges.
New One-Year Multiple-Entry Umrah Visa
One of the most significant recent changes is the introduction of a one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa.
Under the new arrangement, eligible pilgrims can enter Saudi Arabia multiple times during the visa's one-year validity period, with a maximum cumulative stay of 90 days.
This can provide greater flexibility for pilgrims who want to perform Umrah more than once during the year or plan multiple visits to Saudi Arabia.
However, the multiple-entry Umrah visa has important conditions.
Important Conditions
The visa is valid for one year from issuance.
Total stay is limited to 90 days.
It cannot be used to enter Saudi Arabia during the Hajj season.
A service package from an accredited provider is required for each visit.
An Umrah permit must be obtained through the Nusuk platform before each Umrah visit.
The permit dates must correspond with the approved service package.
Applicable entry and travel requirements must be fulfilled.
Is the SAR 300 Fee the Total Cost?
Not necessarily.
The official Saudi visa service currently lists SAR 300 as the service cost, while the application process also requires medical insurance.
For Pakistani pilgrims, the amount charged by an authorized travel agent may therefore be higher than the basic government visa fee because it can include:
Visa processing
Mandatory medical insurance
Service or agency charges
Currency conversion
Other applicable travel-related services
Before making payment, pilgrims should ask their travel agent for a clear breakdown of the total amount.
What Pakistani Pilgrims Should Do
If you are planning Umrah from Pakistan, avoid relying on social media posts or unofficial fee claims. Visa fees, requirements and processing procedures can change.
Before booking, confirm:
The current official Saudi visa fee.
Medical insurance requirements.
Whether your visa is single-entry or multiple-entry.
The validity and permitted stay.
Whether Nusuk arrangements are required.
Any additional charges from your travel agent or service provider.
The official Saudi Umrah visa service allows applicants to enter their personal and passport information, provide travel and accommodation details, add the required medical insurance and pay the applicable fees electronically.
